Market Comment: Prices lower
compared to last week, trending
steadier for next week. Off-farm
offerings were fully adequate for
the generally moderate demand
with some booking developing into
the first two weeks of March.

Market Comment; Demand and
movement on ready to cook whole
birds was fair to good and
clearances in most plants were
well-maintained. Demand for
parts remained disappointing on
most items, and several sellers
noted a need for discounting to
effect clearance. Live supplies
were adequate overall. Weights
were mixed in a full range.
Slaughter schedules were sharply
curtailed in total and very light.
The undertone was fully steady to
firm.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were 1 cent higher on U.S. Grade A
at .48-.5S cents.

Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged on large sizes, un
changed to one cent lower on
mediums. Demand was irregular
this mornings but fair overall.
Supplies and offerings of large and
extra large were adequate to fully
adequate and generally noted as at
manageable levels. Mediums were
adequate or available and some
lots of graded were moving into
breaking channels as low as 38
cents. Breakers interest was ac
tive and some 49-50 class ones were
reported as high as 48 cents.
However, some interest was being
filled with current offerings of
graded loose product.
