The next level of protection from
toxic dust is the chemical car
tridge respirator, and only car
tridges labeled for toxic dust or
pesticides will provide the
necessary dust protection.
The most advanced form of dust
protection currently on the market
is the air stream helmet, a battery
powered helmet that pumps air
through a dust filter located at the

Lebanon Extension to hold
drinking water workshop
LEBANON - Denis Hoke,
Lebanon County agricultural
agent, announced that area
residents are invited to attend a
“Safe Drinking Water Workshop”
to be held Monday, Mar. 3, at the
Schaefferstown Fire Hall, Oak &
Light Streets, Schaefferstown. The
program will be held twice during
the day, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., and 7
p.m.-9 p.m., and is designed to
inform homeowners and farmers
who have their own water system

safe water supply.
Penn State water quality experts
Dr. Karen Mancl and Dr. William
Sharpe, will present information
on water quality, bacterial con
