Market Comment: Demand for
ready to cook whole birds was
irregular but for the most part was
no better than fair. Offerings were
fully adequate. Demand for parts
was quite active in most quarters
and prices were advancing. Live
supplies were at least adequate.
Weights were mixed but mostly
desirable. Slaughter schedules
were light. The undertone
reflected slight improvement but
was only about steady to best.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were 1-2 cents lower on U.S. Grade
A at .49-.56 cents.

Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged to sharply lower on all
sizes. Cartoned egg movement
remained slow at most points.
Floor stocks ranged adequate to
heavy and were difficult to clear on
all sides. Additional offerings of
both graded and ungraded were
easily available to a limited buying
interest. Breaker interest was also
limited, offerings were increasing
at lower trending prices.
