Beaver-Lawrence Holstein Club meets* BY BARBARA RADER Staff Correspondent WURTEMBURG The Beaver- La wrence County Holstein Club held their annual meeting at the Perry Township Fireball, in Wurtemburg. Receiving the club’s distinguished service award for thirty-five years of meritorious service was Francis McChesney. McChesney was an original member Of the Holstein club when it was formed in 1950. He also served on the sire committee of the Western Pennsylvania Artificial Breeding Cooperative. He has held the title of president of the Beaver County DHIA, as well as the position of chairman of the Beaver County Cattleman’s Committee. Beaver County recognized Allen Brunton as its outstanding 4-Her, while Lawrence County recognized Brenda Walton for her 4-H con tributions. Awards for outstanding milk production were given to the following youths: Robbie Glen for his two year old’s record of 16,675 M, and 621 F; Dave Wilson for his Daystar Dairy Sale On January 25th, Grantsville Livestock Marketing, Grantsville, Md., was the site of the successful, well attended sale of 98 registered Jersey cows from the herd of Daystar Dairy, owned by Roger Stemler of PhUlippi, W.V.
