declining wholesale beef trade; but
earlier week gains proved large
enough to set the weekly trend at
1.00 higher. Overall finish con
tinued fairly attractive, par
ticularly on heifers and mud only a
minimal problem. Cows 3.00-4.00
higher. Bulls 1.00-2.00 higher.

9,254. Steers comprised 45 percent
of the week’s receipts, heifers 41
percent, cows 8 percent, feeders 5
