Miller captures “Best Doe of Show ” in Dairy Goat show BY MARTHA J. GEHRINGER HARRISBURG - Best doe of show honors for the 1986 Farm Show Dairy Goat show went to Ann Miller from* Furlong, Bucks County. Ann is no stranger to winning. This year she stood in the top placing with her La Mancha four year-old doe in milk, GCH Jenny J Rock Dixie. Ann has had the best doe of show every year at the farm show since goats started showing there four years ago. Miller has a herd of 30 goats, Toggenburg and La Mancha, in Furlong. This year she showed 15 at the farm show. Included among the goats she left at home were two permanent champions, and three that only need one more leg to become permanent champions. This year’s champion has been a permanent champion since she was a milking yearling. The judge for this year’s contest was Mary Stiles lager, of Maple Lawn Farm, Fulton MD.
