Heister Award for the best
collective fruit exhibit at the 70th
Farm Show in Harrisburg. They
had the mbst members exhibiting
and those members scored the
most points on their exhibits.
Chairman for the display is Dwight
Mickey of Chambersburg.
The ADAMS COUNTY Fruit
Growers Association repeated as
winner of the best county fruit
exhibit. Phillip Roth of Fairfield is
their display chairman.
Strite’s Orchards of Strifes Road
in Harrisburg, DAUPHIN
COUNTY, won the best of show
award and the State Horticultural
Association Award, as well as
being named best of class for their
tray of apples, bagged apples,
consumer package and bushel.
Dwight Mickey of Lincoln Way
West, Chambersburg, FRANKLIN
COUNTY, exhibited the best gift
package and was the best of class
for his pear exhibit.
