WASHINGTON - If im
plemented, a proposed rule would
deny virtually all USDA Farmers
Home Administration operating
loans to farmers, officials of the
National Farmers Union charged
today. In a hand-delivered letter,
they asked ranking members of
the congcessional agriculture
subcommittees on credit to draft
and introduce immediate
legislation preventing the
Secretary of Agriculture from
implementing the rule.
Letters were delivered to
Senator David Boren, Okla.,
Senator Mark Andrews, N.D., and
Lancaster Co. DHIA
