Lancaster Society 6 met Jan. 4 at
the home of Mary Thome with Eva
Thome as co-hostess.
The speaker for the afternoon
was the executive director of the
Lancaster Society 19
Lancaster Society 19 met at the
home of Martha Musser for its first
meeting of the year. Isaac and Alta
Miller presented a trip to Australia
and New Zealand through slides.
Lancaster Society 25
Lancaster Society 25 met on Jan.
11 at the home of Mrs. Raymond
Mylin, Willow Street.
Jody Henkel, Lancaster County
IFYE, presented slides and a talk
about Greece.
Mrs. Ralph Daveler and Mrs.

Water Street Rescue Mission, who
talked about the Mission’s many
programs.
The society gave a donation to
the Water Street Rescue Mission.
At the next meeting members
will be sewing cancer pads at the
Landisville Church of God on Feb.
Bat 10 a.m. Each member should
bring a covered dish.
State Convention in Harrisburg
this week.
Members gave 2,000 hours of
service to the American Heart
Association.
The next meeting will be held
Feb. 8 at the home of Mrs. Jacob
Boose, Conestoga.

Berks Society 11
Berks Society 11 held its
December meeting at the home of
Doris Brown. Secret pals were
revealed and gifts were ex
changed.
After a business meeting, the
group exchanged names for 1986
secret pals. Everyone enjoyed a
night of crafts supervised by
hostess Doris Brown.
The next meeting will be at the
home of Wendy Lingle on Jan. 27.

members attending.

Wright is NJ FFA’er of the Month
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - The
New Jersey FFA has announced
Harry Wright of the Allentown
FFA Chapter as the January
Member of the Month. Currently,
he is vice-president of the Allen
town Chapter.
Harry has gained experience in
the FFA through leadership
conferences, judging contests, and
community service work. His
Supervised Occupational Ex
perience Program has also
benefited Harry’s development in
the FFA.

Farm, wreath cooperative ex
perience, and produce fanning. It
has provided valuable hands-on
knowledge of the field of
agriculture.
Harry’s advisor, Jacque Rozel,
comments, “Harry has grown in
his leadership abilities and con
tinues to be an excellent officer.”
The FFA and vocational
agriculture work together to
develop leaders like Harry Wright
for the many careers in
agriculture.
