Market Comment: Demand for
ready to cook whole birds con
tinued good, and overall plants
noted well-balanced to short
supplies. Movement of parts had
improved on all items but wings
which remained available at
discounted prices but in lesser
voluihes.
Live supplies were about
adequate overall. Weights were in
a full range of light to heavier than
desired. Slaughter schedules were
again moderately heavy. The
undertone was firm.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were 1 cent higher on U.S. Grade A
at .52-. SB cents.

Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged to lower on large and
extra large, unchanged to higher
on mediums. Cartoned egg
clearances at the distributive level
were fair to fairly good overall and
generally best where retail
featuring was a factor. Floor
stocks were generally adequate on
all sizes although mediums and
smalls were in close balance in
spots. Additional offerings were
noted as available with spot loads
of class one nest runs reportedly
moved in a range of 52 to 54 cents.
