Robert W. Gabel
A senior at Newport High School,
Robert W. Gabel is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. 'Robert T. Gabel of
Newport.
President of the Newport FFA
Chapter for two years, he was also
secretary and assistant vice
president. In addition to receiving
Greenhand and Chapter Farmer
degrees, he has won the Star
Greenhand, Silver Emblem in Soil
Judging and Gold Emblem in
Record Keeping. F" showed the
first-place Intern' ‘h calf at the
state show in 19&

and National Hoii» society at
school, Robert hopes to attend
Penn State in the fall and major in
dairy science.
Potter County
DeanC. Erway
Dean C. Erway, 17, is the son of
Melvin and Kay Erway, Ulysses. A
student at Northern Potter High
School, he has been a member of
the Headwaters FFA Chapter for
four years.
His projects have included dairy
cow, dairy heifer, dairy calf, corn
and hay. He has served on the
Safety and Publicity Committees.
Dean has served his chapter as
treasurer and president. He was a
Star Greenhand and won a silver
medal for record keeping.
He enjoys sports, motorcycling
and snowmobiling. Following high
school, he plans to work on the
family farm.
Schuylkill County
Jeffery C.Masser
Jeffery C. Masser, 18, is the son
of Timothy and Joyce Masser,
Pitman. A student at Tri Valley
High School, Jeffery has been a
member of the Tri Valley FFA
Chapter for four years.
Strawberries has been his FFA
project. He has served on the
r trus, Seed Sales, and Tri Valley
Community Fair Committees.
Jeffery has served his chapter as
treasurer and vice president. He
has participated in the county
Poultry, Tractor Driving,
Livestock Judging and Dairy
Judging Contests. He has also
participated in county and state
record book contests.
Following graduation, Jeffery
plans to work on his family’s 300-
acre vegetable and fruit farm.
Snyder County
Kent E. Dnnkelberger
Kent E. Dunkelberger, 17, is the
son of Glen and Shirley
Dunkelberger, Middleburg. He has
been a member of the Middleburg
FFA Chapter for four years.
Kent has taken projects in beef
finishing, dairy calf, field corn,
oats, wheat, hog finishing, alfalfa
hay and mixed hay.
He has served as assistant
chapter vice president and chapter
president.
Kent enjoys hunting, trapping
and fishing and plans to become a
crop and beef farmer.
Gordon R. Fultz Jr.
Gordon R. Fultz Jr., 18, of Mc-
Clure, is the son of Helen Knepp
and Gordon R. Fultz Sr. He has
been a member of the West Snyder
FFA Chapter for four years.
During that time has taken
projects in strawberries, home
garden, hay and beef finishing. He
was chairman of the Recreation
Committee.
Gordon has served his chapter as
student advisor, assistant chaplain
and assistant treasurer. He holds
the Greenhand, Chapter and Sun
Area Farmer degrees.
He has earned proficiency
awards in fruit and vegetables and
forage.
Gordon plans a job in carpentry
or farming.
Christopher Harvey
Christopher Harvey, 18, is the
son of John and Kate Klinse,
Beavertown. He has been a
member of West Snyder FFA
Chapter for four years.
Christopher has taken projects
in beef growing and he has had
four years of work experience at
Walnut Acres Inc. He was a
member of the Barbeque, BOAC,
Crops and Beaver Fair Com
mittees.
He has served his chapter as
chaplain. Christopher holds the
Greenhand and SUN Area Farmer
degrees. He earned a proficiency
award in beef as well as an elec
trification award.
Christopher enjoys hunting,
fishing, hiking and camping and
plans to continue working at
Walnut Acres.
Thomas Musser
Thomas Musser, 17, is the son of
Arthur L. and Edith P. Musser,
Beaver Springs. He has been a
member of West Snyder FFA
Chapter for four years.
During that time he has taken
projects in beef finishing, dairy
calves, sheep breeding and
potatoes. He also served on the
National FFA Week Committee.
Thomas has served his chapter
as assistant sentinel, sentinel and
reporter. He holds the Greenhand,
Chapter Farmer and SUN Area
Farmer degrees.
After high school Thomas plans
to get a job and he would like to
own a farm.
J. David Sheaffer
J. David Sheaffer, 17, son of Dr.
William C. and Sue Ann
Sheaffer, Beavertown. He has been
a member of the West Snyder FFA
Chapter for four years.
David has taken projects in
strawberries, field com, oats and
wheat. He has served on the
Barbecue and National FFA Week
Committees. He was state land
judging champion.
David has served his chapter as
treasurer. He holds the
Greenhand, Chapter Farmer and
SUN Area Farmer degrees. He has
received proficiency awards in
small grains and in soil and water
management.
He enjoys hunting and racing
and would like to become a
mechanic.
Mickey J. Treaster
Mickey J. Treaster, 17, is the son
of Joseph and Ada Treaster, Mt.
Pleasant Mills. He has been a
member of the Middleburg FFA
Chapter for four years.
Mickey has taken projects in
beef growing, finishing and
breeding. He has served his
chapter as assistant sentinel.
He enjoys hunting, fishing and
sports and plans a career in the
medical field.
Charles Zerby
Charles Zerby, 19, is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Nevin Zerby,
Beavertown. He has been a
member of the West Snyder FFA
Chapter for four years.

beef breeding and growing. He has
served on the Food for America,
CROPS and Beaver Fair Com
mittees. He was in the State FFA
Band.

president, Charles has placed
second in the State Ag Mechanics
Contest. He received a gold award
in the National Ag Mechanics
Contest.
Charles plans to become a
partner on the home farm.
Henry Zerby, 17, is the son of Mr.

town. He has been a member of the
