Jamesls active in 4-H and enjoys
showing livestock. He plans to
major in animal production at
Penn State University.
Susan Diana North
Susan Diana North, 17, is the
daughter okf Mrs. Laura E. North,
Mahaffey. A student at Purchase
Line High School, Susan has been a
member of the Purchase Line FFA
Chapter for four years.
Her FFA activities have in
cluded Food for America,
Demonstrations, Public Speaking,
Dairy Production, Swine
Production, Sweetheart Dance
Committee and Sweetheart Court.
Susan is currently president of
her FFA Chapter and county
reporter. She has received a
Scholarship Award.
Following high school, Susan
plans to enter the Marine Corps.

Trasee Aument
Trasee Aliment, 18, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.
Michael Aument, Conestoga. A
student at Penn Manor High
School, she has been a member of
the Manor FFA Chapter for four
years.
Trasee has taken a project in
beef finishing and has served on
the Entertainment and Banquet
Committees. *
She holds the Greenhand, Red
Rose and Chapter Farmer
degrees, and earned a bronze
emblem in dairy production.
Trasee plans to pursue an
agribusiness career and own a
farm.
John Burkholder
John Burkholder, 18, is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Burkholder,
Washington Boro. A student at
Penn Manor High School, he has
been a member of the Manor FFA
Chapter for four years.
John has completed projects in
dairy cow, com and flowers, and
works on a dairy farm. He has
been a member of the Orange
Sales, Yearbook, and Gym Night
Committees.

John has earned the Greenhand,
Chapter and Red Rose degrees.
In addition, John has earned a
chapter Dairy Proficiency Award,
a silver emblem in t» ■ national
Dairy Food Contest, and gold
emblems in Dairy Foods, Dairy
Judging, and Land Judging. He'
has received a chain dairy calf.
John plans a career in
agriculture.
Mike Cassel
Mike Cassel, the 18-year-old son
of Sue and Marlin Cassel,
Manheim, has been a member of
the Manheim FFA Chapter for four
years.
A student at Manheim Central
High School, he has completed
projects in hogs and tobacco. Mike
holds the Greenhand, Red Rose
and Chapter Farmer degrees. He
has participated in the BOAC
project.
Mike plans to farm with his
father following graduation from
high school.
Phil Eby
A member of the Cloister
Chapter, Phil is the son of Isaac
and Janet Eby of Ephrata and a
senior at Ephrata High School.
He held the office of chapter vice
president in 1983 and 1984, and
served on the Community Service,
Earnings and Savings and
Leadership Committees. He has
also served as chairman of the
Banquet and Window Display
Committees.
Phil has judged dairy cattle,
dairy products and meats at the
local, county and state levels and
has earned the Greenhand,
Chapter Farmer and Red Rose
Degrees.
His projects have included
market lambs, hogs and capons.
He is currently serving as
treasurer of the Indiantown
Church Youth Group and plans to
pursue a career in carpentry.
