Members made bed pads to be used at the Mount Dunkard Brethren Home. Members also brought gifts to be shared with patients at the Harrisburg State Hospital. Those participating were given a name and that person’s special needs were considered. Former member Mrs. Edna Lancaster Society 14 Lancaster Society 14 met on Dec. 12 at Harvest Drive Restaurant. Rufus M. Brubaker, Penryn Road, Manheim, presented, “The Wonders of our Mountains and Wildlife,” a 45-minute musical presentation with pictures from Colorado, the Rocky Mountains and Pennsylvania. Berks Society 6 held its Christmas party for members, husbands and guests on Dec. 7 at the Yellow House Hotel in Yellow House. The Pagoda Chapter of the Sweet Adelines provided the en tertainment. The group, led by Harry and Irma Brubaker, sang Christmas carols. The group will meet on at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 8 to sew cancer pads at the home of Arlene Esbensbade. The State Farm Women Con vention is Jan. 13 and 14. Berks Society 6 Members also met on Dec. 17 in the Limekiln home of Mrs. Ruth Hartman to fill stockings for the elderly.
