Market Comment: Demand for
ready to cook whole birds was just
fair at some plants, good at others.
Offerings were generally adequate
to closely cleared. Demand for part
items was lighter when compared
to early week. Supplies were
usually adequate all but wings, but
even this item was showing some
decline in overall buyer interest.
Live supplies were adequate.
Weights were mostly desirable to
heavier than desired. Slaughter
schedules were moderate heavy
overall. The undertone was fully
steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were 1 cent higher on U.S. Grade A
at .50-.57 cents.

Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged under a generally
steady trade sentiment. Cartoned
egg movement was about
moderate and most dealers noted
adequate to close supplies of large
and heavier weight eggs. Mediums
were just adequate at best. Smalls
were short. Ungrade stocks were
at least adequate as farm pickups
were curtailed due to the holiday.
