Pittsburgh meat firm
WASHINGTON - The U.S.
Department of Agriculture has
ordered the withdrawal of meat
inspection services from the

“A USD A administrative law

selling and transporting
adulterated and misbranded

Under federal law, USDA can
seek withdrawal of inspection
services if a company, or any
official responsibly connected with
the company, is convicted of any
felony or more than one
misdemeanor related to the
handling of food.
Withdrawal of inspection ser
vices prevents a company from
continuing its wholesale
processing operations since
federal inspection is required
before a firm can market its meat
products in interstate commerce.
