At in-store dealer displays, growers can pick up a card that will familiarize them with the benefits of Dual and Bicep, two herbicides used for control of weeds and grasses in sorghum. After they read the card, growers are asked to fill it out and return it to Ciba-Geigy. For each card received, Ciba- Cjeigy will donate $1 to the sorghum fund. “We anticipate that we’ll donate at least another $50,000 through the grower participation part of the program,” said Earl Hartzfeld, Ciba-Geigy advertising and promotion manager for Bicep herbicide and Concep seed safener. About 40 to 90 percent of total production is exported. “Obviously, when the numbers are that high, we need to maintain a lively export business. If we were to lose some of our overseas customers, the sorghum market would change dramatically,” Hartzfeld said. “We’re hopeful that, with fun ding assigned enhance sorghum export sales, the U.S. Feed Grains Council will be able to find new markets for the product, which in State $ DECEMBER SPECIAL EXTRA DISCOUNTS ON ALL TRACTORS * twA wi* v** air Belarus • Real fuel misers • Low maintenance cost *%« aw)** 01 o*a'° • Eas> to work on °' \a^ cTS • Excellent parts/service suoport second -*r to none // * 1 A • Exclusive 4-WD on 57 70 85 lßshp >' M models fl Belarus Warranty Included In Price B BUY FROM YOUR FACTORY DIRECT DEALER ROVENDALE SUPPLY Exit 31, Rt. 1-80 to 180 (Old Rt. 147) to Watsontown Exit (You Are There!)
