KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As the
sound of the gavel tap echoed
through the Municipal Auditorium
in Kansas City, Missouri, the 58th
National FFA Convention came to
a close. An estimated 22,000
members, advisors, parents and
friends attended the three-day
meeting to receive awards, par
ticipate in contests and be
recognized for achievements.

Six new national officers were
elected by their peers to serve the
organization for the coming year.
Elected to serve in 1985-86 were:
Rick Malir, 21, Wilson, Ks.,
the Order. Anyone within the
expanded marketing area who
bottles and sells milk to consumers
(or contemplates doing this) is
urged to attend. The meetings will
not be of particular interest to milk
producers who sell their milk in
bulk.
