higher, but closed only firm to .50
higher after declining 1.00 Wed
nesday. Dressed beef prices
continued to advance or remain
firm through Wednesday, but
demand only moderate at best.
Cows for the week steady to 1.00
higher. Bulls weak to 3.00 lower in
limited comparison. Supply
mainly good to average choice
slaughter steers and heifers with
9% cows. Estimated receipts this
week about 2000 as compared with
1962 last week and 1566 a year ago.
