supply. Slaughter steers and
heifers closed the week 1.50 to 2.50
higher, instances 3.00 higher on
heifers. Higher wholesale dressed
beef prices early saw live cattle
trade at the full advance Monday,
then trade weak to 1.00 lower
Wednesday as dressed beef prices
became unsettled. Cows closed the
week .50 to 2.00 lower. Light supply
of bulls generally steady. Supply
mainly good to average choice
slaughter steers and heifers with
6% cows. Estimated receipts this
week about 2100 as compared with
actual receipts of 1306 a week ago
and 1364 a year ago.
