moderate for this week’s adequate
supplies. Offerings for next week’s
schedules slow in filling, and
currently short of inquiry. Some
spot trading noted at current
prices for next week. Finished
product sales irregular and often
under price pressure from buyers
but fair to fairly good overall.
Undertone at least steady.

Market Comment; Demand for
both whole birds and parts was
light to fair and unaggressive.
Clearances were in a range of slow
to fair for the most part.
Discounting on leg and leg quar
ters was commonplace in an effort
to keep stocks in balance. Other
items met a mixed but generally
no better than fair call overall.
Live supplies were fully adequate.
Weights remained mostly
desirable to heavier than desired.
Slaughter schedules were a bit
lighter and moderate in total. The
undertone was unsettled but
generally only steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were 1 cent higher on U.S. Grade A
at 47-49 cents.
