Market Comment: Prices
relatively unchanged for both late
week and early next week trading.
Seller offerings of fair volume for
light and cautious buyer interest.
Some hens picked up locally by
midwestern concerns at 17.50 cents
at farm. Some broiler fryer
receipts continue to be used in lieu
of spent hens, but higher trending
broiler- prices were expected to
eliminate this practice. Finished
product sales were sluggish for the
most part.
