GREEN m'II delight your Mends % Idea by Donna Miller, Drawing by Bob Jackson Surprise your friends with a frog that has a real zapper of a tongue! To make the Big Zapper, you’ll need three paper plates: a blow-out (you can buy one at a store that sells party favors); plain white paper; yellow, black, and green crayons or felt-tipped markers; glue; and tape. Now follow these directions: 1. Use green paper plates or color the front of white ones with a green marker or crayon. 2. Cut a half-inch hole in the center of Plates 1 and 2. Make the holes big enough for the mouthpiece of the blow out to fit through. 3. Fold Plate 2in half to make a mouth. Tape or glue the mouth to Plate 1 as shown in the picture. 4. Cut two eyes out of paper and color them as shown. Glue the eyes to the frog’s head. 5. Cut legs out of Plate 3. Tape or glue the legs to the frog’s body. 6. Put the mouthpiece of the blow-out through the holes and tape it in place. Now put the Big Zapper’s tongue to work! y, ’*^ s ’v ffeiSr Kf — '—\ [ \ «S ■> fL. » S > ..J 9
