Adams County 4-H'ers
compote of Fashion Revue
YORK SPRINGS - Jackie King,
York Springs, recently received a
gold ribbon at the Capital Region 4-
H Fashion Revue held July 24 at
the Cumberland Valley High
School.
As a gold ribbon winner, she will
be one of eight 4-H’ers to represent
the region at the State Fashion
Revue, Aug. 6 at the Penn State
University Park Campus. The
Revue will take place during State
4-H Achievement Days. One of
forty-eight 4-H’ers from seven
counties in the senior division of
Fashion Revue, she will also
receive a medal of honor and a
certificate of participation.
Jackie is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Dale King. She modeled a
designed inspired dress in
lavender polyester.
In the honors group were Noel
King, York Springs; Lela Mum
mert, East Berlin; and Tina
Renoll, Aspers. These senior
participants received blue ribbons.
Also taking part in this event from
Adams County were Beth Bishop
and Jennifer Shelter from Get
tysburg.
In the junior section, Renee
Mickey of East Berlin received
honors with a blue ribbon. Other
junior models included Kathleen
Grim, East Berlin; Tanya Retry,
York Springs; Jackie Sterner,
Gettysburg; and Gayle Weant,
Littlestown.
The 4-H’ers made the outfits they
modeled as part of the 4-H clothing
projects. Along with increasing
their skills in clothing con
struction, they learned about
wardrobe selection, color
coordination, the importance of
good posture, and other aspects of
grooming.

4 churches in March 1985 to 10 congre
gations and two preaching points, now
totaling over 800.
2) Bible Classes (with written government
permission) conducted in:
A - Jail for men, another for women, plus
a boys’ reformatory, totaling 775 people
B - A public school with 140 summer
students and an enrollment of over
900 starting in Sept.
