Montgomery 4-H'ers win fashion awards
CREAMERY - Thirty-five 4-H
members recently participated in
the Montgomery County 4-H
Fashion Revue held at the Peter
Becker Community in
Harleysville. The 4-H’ers made
their outfits as part of their 4-H
clothing and textile projects. Along
with increasing their skills in
clothing construction, they learned
about wardrobe selection, color
coordination, the importance of
good posture and other aspects of
grooming.
Nine young ladies were selected
to represent Montgomery County
at the Regional 4-H Fashion Revue
held July 25, at the Willow Grove
Park Mall.
In the junior division (ages 8-13)
they were: Lisa Finnin of
Collegeville, Danielle Detweiler of
Souderton, and Samantha Candy of
Hatfield. Representing the senior
division (ages 14-19) were Janet

In addition, two seniors, Judy
Park and Jennifer Bradshaw, were
selected to represent Montgomery
County and the Pa. Southeast
Region at the State 4-H Fashion
Revue, to be held during State 4-H
Achievement Days, Aug. 5-7, at
Penn State University. They will
vie with the top winners from other
regions of Pennsylvania for state
honors. Three other participants
were selected as honor alternates.
They are: Jody Carney, Lisa
Koehler and Barbara Gamer.
