pump developed
for liquid manure

Harvestore Products, Inc. is the
cornerstone for a complete
reception pit system for liquid
manure.
According to James Schaap,
executive vice president
marketing, many installation
problems may be solved by the
pump’s optional pit hardware
package. The 550 lb. pump itself
can be moved easily, so it’s ideal
for use in multi-pit installations.
The pit hardware kit includes a
rotary deck with folding cover
plates for safety and convenience,
manual valve, automatic coupling
to the discharge pipe, a rock guard
to reduce damage to chopper
components, and a zinc anode to
protect against electrolytic
corrosion.
In action, the submersible pump
performs three separate functions.
First, it chops raw manure,
presenting 10,500 cutting surfaces
per minute at 1,750 RPM. Second,
it agitates material in the pit to
homogenize the slurry and prevent

Slurrystore R system.
The Neptune pump’s 20 h.p.
motor performs at full rating on
either single or three-phase power,
moving up to 1,000 GPM and
providing 90 ft. of shut-off head
pressure.
Other features include a con
venient shear pin that can be
replaced in minutes; two-way
reversible chopper components for
extended life; a built-in early
warning device that signals the
operator if liquid should penetrate
the sealed motor compartment;
and an exclusive power cord
retractor for safety and con
venience.
The pump is available in two
versions, including one for six-to
eight-foot deep pits, and one for up
to 10-foot pits. A choice of manual
or electric winch is included. The
new pump carries a two-year full
warranty on the pump assembly,
except for chopper block assembly
components which'have a full one
year warranty.
