Since her election to the Board in 1980, she has served as chairman of the Youth/Promotion/Joumal Committee. Harding is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Service, Inc. Other involvements have included the presidency of the local school board, co-chairmanship of the Pennsylvania GBA youth com mittee, directorship of Guernsey Restaurants, Inc., chairmanship of her county’s annual Ice Cream/Strawberry Festival and membership in the Dairy Shrine Club. This past spring, she married Charles Ruslavage of Clarion. She was formerly married to the late C. After graduating from Vassar College in 1951 and taking a dairy short course at Rutgers University, she began her career in the dairy in dustry. She started out working with the Dutchess County, New York Cooperative Extension Service. For the next two years she worked with the New Jersey Guernsey Breeders’ Association (GBA) to coordinate Guernsey and Golden Guernsey activities. From 1954 through 1958 Harding coor dinated sales campaigns and promotions for Golden Guernsey, Inc. With this election, Harding will begin her second five-year term on the AGCC Board of Directors. EASTON Nearly 500 people spent last Sunday dipping their derrieres in the Delaware River as part of the “Dairy-Ere in the Delaware,” a tube float dairy promotion that benefitted the Easton Chapter of the Red Cross. The Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program was the major sponsor of the event and conducted two contests to tie milk and dairy products into the event. There was a milk carton raft contest and a “Big Cheese Con test” to see who had the best dairy decorated tube. Another contest required people to guess the number of eight-ounce glasses of milk a cow produces in a year. Opening ceremonies were held at Eddyside Beach near Easton with Pennsylvania dairy princess Lynette Loper and Northampton County dairy princess Janet Poliskiewicz participating.
