Market Comment: Movement of
ready to cook whole birds was
moderate overall, and all plants
reported few problems in main
taining satisfactory clearances.
Inquiry for parts continued to
taper but activity was sufficient to
clear most product. Live supplies
were adequate to tight in in
stances. Weights were mixed but
generally desirable. Slaughter
schedules were moderately heavy.
Undertone was unsettled with
market direction generally noted
as dictated by heavy offerings
from outside production areas.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
were .02-.03 lower on U.S. Grade A
at 47-55 cents.

as high as seventeer cents at farm.
Demand was fair to good for both
this and next week. Undertone
firm. Receipts of heavy type in

tered around twenty five cents
delivered.

large were adequate to ample.

adequate in total. Undertone was
