closed this session at midweek
fully steady with the previous
we«k. Good buyer demand noted
as most local packers came into
the week in need of cattle for
slaughter. Ixical direct selling
rather light at the end of last week
and some packers short on num
bers for slaughter beginning this
week. Wholesale dressed beef
prices steady early turning down
at late week. Slaughter cows 1:00-
4.00 lower, most decline on
breaking utility and commercial.
Slaughter bulls 1.00-2.00 lower.
Estimated 4 day receipts this
week 9,000 compared to 5 day
actuals last week of 10912 and 4 day
actuals last year of 9412. Slaughter
