The Glencoe® High Trash Cultivator is designed primarily
to cultivate and build precise, uniform ridges in ridge-till
systems. The heavy-duty, easily adjusted implements also
works effectively in no-till, minimum till and traditional till
systems where maximum amounts of residue may exist.
Glencoe's 7-by-7-inch, heavy-wall toolbar supports the
double-decked Sturdi-Link parallel bars designed for strength
and cultivating accuracy. The 4-by-4-inch, weighted gang
tubes put more weight over the row where it is needed for
shank penetration to weed or build ridges. Two adjustable
disk hillers and a choice of rigid shanks or the patented
Glencoe Adjusto-Pitch® shanks and sweeps provide com
plete removal of weeds from row to row. Equipped with
unique adjustable ridger attachment this unit will build ridges
up to nine inches without damaging fragile crops even in
adverse conditions. The Glencoe High Trash Cultivator is
available from four-cow, 30-inch non-folding to 12-row, 30-

Roche Inc. has obtained a sole and
exclusive worldwide license from
G.D. Searle to make, use and sell
progestin Norgestomet - as a
growth promotant in heifers.
Searle developed the compound
and had been working toward its
approval by the Food and Drug
Administration for use in heifers.
Roche will soon begin field trials
with Norgestomet, which is in
tended to be administrated via the
implantation of a long-term, time
release delivery system that will
enable the drug to be utilized in
pasture cattle.
“This new product and delivery
system will offer a significant
advantage in terms of facilitating
long-term growth promotion in
Roche to sell growth drug
