with cow coloring contest

MANHEIM - A cow coloring
contest for children ages 3-U is
being organized to draw attention
to June Dairy Month. Judy Miller,
Lancaster County’s Dairy Prin
cess, says that the contest will
begin May 1 and continue
throughout the month, with entries
due by Junel.
Judy said that entries will be
judged according to neatness and
creativity and pazes will be
awarded to winners. She and the
organizing committee are hoping
to have four to five thousand
children participating in the
contest.
The coloring sheets for the
contest are being distributed to
area dairy stores and restaurants
and to some elementary schools.
Any child in Lancaster County is
welcome to enter the contest. If
you need coloring sheets call Judy
Miller at 653-4288 and she will mail
them to you. Finished entries
should be mailed to Judy at R.D. 4,
Box 408, Echo Valley Road,
Manheim, Pa. 17545. Entrants
should write their name, address,
age and school on a separate sheet
of paper.

All winners will receive fpee
tickets to attend the Lancaster
County Dairy Princess contest on
June 15 and prizes will be awarded
at that tune And, all entries will be
displayed in the lobby of the Farm
and Home Center.

YORK - The York County 4-H
Dairy Judging Team placed third
at the Delaware Valley 4-H FFA
Dairy Judging Contest April 13 at
Delaware Valley College in
Doylestown.
C.E. Hubbard of New Cum
berland led the team with a
second-place finish in “reasons”
and a third place finish in the
