The exam will be given at Essex Community College, Room 101, Math/Science Building, in Baltimore County. The new certification program for veterinary technicians was created by recent legislation which requires the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to evaluate, examine, and determine the qualifications for applicants for registration as a Veterinary Technician. The Board, through its Veterinary Technician Committee, has adopted regulations that describe the qualifications for examination and registration of Veterinary Technicians. Applications must be received by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland, 21401 by April 28. Examination application forms may be obtained by writing or by calling (301) 841-5862. More in formation about the program can be obtained by contacting the Board.
