A special 4-H Showcase will be
the highlight of the day featuring
various exhibits and club displays
m order to acquaint the com
munity with what 4-H has to offer
to youth ages 8-19 Families are
encouraged to attend and learn
about 4-H opportunities
Refreshments will be available
including sandwiches, beverages
and a ham dinner, all served by
volunteer leaders and members
4-H Capon Club
A Capon Club is being organized
in York for 4-H’ers interested in
raising capons for this year's
project. This project involves
raising 2S capons and dressing and
marketing them
Capons are castrated male
chickens which are considered to
have the highest quality poultry
meat
The next meeting is scheduled
for May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H
Center Feeding, management and
the caponization process will be
discussed.
Capons must be ordered soon.
The charge for a four-week-old
caponized chickes is $1.75
