ELVERSON - Members of the
Twin Valley FFA celebrated the
twenty-fifth anniversary of their
chapter at their recent parent
member banquet. Over 250
members, parents guests, and
former members joined in the
festivities. Chapter secretary
Denis Shantz and treasurer Chris
Coblentz presented certificates of
appreciation to Mark Kraybill,
local farmer who employees Chris
and who has supported the chapter
in many other ways; Jane Haque,
secretary to the high school
guidance staff; and Ruth Ann
Shade, editor of the Twin County
Shoppers News for the er«-pllent
Camden senior named
FFA member of the month
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -
Dennis Coyle, 18, Camden County
Vocational School senior and FFA
member from Gibbsboro, N.J. was
recently named March Out
standing FFA Member of the
Month. The outstanding FFA
member of the month is selected
on the basis of leadership skills,
participation in FFA activities and
on supervised occupational ex
perience.
“I have learned a lot m the FFA.
I have learned how to keep
records, run meetings, meet
people and speak publicly. All of
these are necessary in my future
which includes running my own
business,” Dennis said.
He has been involved in
vocational agriculture/FFA for
three years, has achieved the
Chapter Farmer Degree, served as
Chapter Jr. Vice-President, and is
presently Chapter Vice-President.
Coyle’s supervised occupational
experience has grown from lawn
maintenance of three residential
lawns, to a landscape establish-

teaching at Twin Valley in 1984.
Denis Ambler, Eastern Regional
vice-president of the Pennsylvania
FFA, presented a short in
spirational speech on her FFA
experiences.
Chapter officers presented
honorary chapter degrees to Dr.
William Marburger, superin
tendent of the Twin Valley School
District; John Abrams, food
services director for the Twin
Valley School District; Mildred
ment and maintenance part
nership of 50 residentail lawns. He
is responsible for planning,
planting, and maintaining shrubs,
borders, lawns, and gardens.
Dennis also stays very active in
the Camden Tech East FFA
Chapter activities. He has par
ticipated in the State Weed
Identification and Control contest,
State Nursery/Landscape contest,
and regional flower show. He has
also participated in the Chapter
Officer Leadership Training
Conference and Member
Leadership Training Conference.
Both were conducted by state FFA
officers.
Dennis has also participated in
several committees in his local
chapter. He was chairperson of the
citrus committee and candy fund
raiser committee.
In May, Dennis will compete for
Outstanding Member of the Year
at the State FFA Convention held
at Cook College, Rutgers
University.

a first year FFA member.

Foreman then presented a special
BOAC award to Debbie Printz,
volunteer coordinator at Zerbe
Sisters, who has worked with FFA
members for the past three years.

winners of county and area FFA
contests.
Chris Coblentz was recognized
for winning the Pa. All American
Dairy Judging Forum. Rod
Stoltzfus received a trophy for
having won the livestock judging
