HUNTSDALE - The Cum
berland County Holstein Club met
at the Penn Township Fireball last
Saturday for their annual banquet
and to elect three new directors.
Elected to three year terms were
Lee Davidson, Shippensburg;
Thomas Nealy, Newville; and
Edgar Showaker, Newville.
The club also recognized the
Seedling sale in Berks Co.
The 11th Annual Tree Seedling
Sale conducted by the Berks
County Conservation District is
now underway.
The District is offering a wide
variety of quality stock three-year
old tree seedlings at a very low
price. Pre-paid orders will be
taken until March 31,1985.
The pick up dates are Friday,
April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
Seedlings can be picked up at the
rear of the Agricultural Center
across from Berks Heim on County

quantity, planting, or use

100,000 pounds of milk class.
Also recognized were John
Stamy, IV, three-year-old cow;
Jeff Reasner, dry three- and four
year-old cow; Mark Naugle, in
termediate calf and intermediate
yearling heifer; and Ed Showaker,
senior two-year-old cow and aged
cow.
The group also heard committee
reports and enjoyed a buffet
dinner. Cumberland County Dairy
Princess Vonda Wickard served
dairy refreshments provided by
Oscar and Sarah Nealy, Herbert
and Lois Shughart and J. Shephard
and Marguerite Wolff.
Ken Raney, PHA director of
member services, presented some
ot the highlights ot 'the Penn
sylvania Holstein Association
activities, and Duane Duncan gave
highlights ot the county club’s
