farmers and agribusinesses in
South Central Pennsylvania -as
announced by Jay V. Rush,
general manager of the York
Farm Credit Service, with offices
in York, Carlisle, Chambersburg,
Gettysburg, New Bloomfield, and
Stewartstown.

quantities. “Ranch Pak,” plastic
pails containing 50 Permectrin Ear
Tags and 52 attachment studs. The
durable container compactly
stores and protects the tags from
any damage.

Permectrin ear tags designed to
provide a larger useful surface
area and to direct more insecticide
to sites pests prefer. These tags
swing, touch the hair coat and
brush a large surface area to
provide the animal with better
protection.

Pressure-Treated Lumber
Wolmanized pressure-treated wood and Outdoor
wood have built-in chemical protection that provides
resistance to decay and termites. This material has
been pressure-impregnated with Koppers Wolman®
CCA wood preservative which meets or exceeds
federal, state and industry specifications for this type
of wood preservative. The chemicals are fixed in the
wood and, although toxic to termites and fungi, they
are not present in sufficient quantity to be toxic to
animals.

Farm Credit takes over
serve tne farm records and tax
service needs of farmers
previously served by the Agway
Profile Records & Tax Service.
The transfer of these services from
Agway to Farm Credit has been
underway for over six months, and
will result in approximately 120
new customers for Farm Credit.
The basis for the Records & Tax
Service that Farm Credit will be
offering is the Agrifax system,
which although new to Penn-
ticks, spinose ear ticks and acts as
an aid in controlling lice, stable
flies and houseflies.
Permectrin ear tags are also
available in packages of 24 tags.

area, is a time proven, user
oriented, computer based system
that is used by approximately
18,000 farmers across the nation.
Rush stressed that the Agrifax
system being used by York Farm
Credit has been recently updated
by the Springfield, Mass. Farm
Credit District and can be used
with a farmer’s own computer or
information can be provided to
Farm Credit’s computer for
processing, which provides useful
monthly reports for making
today’s critical farm management
decisions.
A third record-keeping option is
the manual system, which
features quarterly profit and loss
statements, and which enables
Farm Credit to serve a wide range
of farm accounting needs.

borrowers will not be required to
use the records service to qualify
for a loan, although quality records
and financial information are
becoming more important in
making lending decisions.

Rush emphasized that financial
management services are not new
to Farm Credit. While primarily a
credit service, Farm Credit has
offered Credit Life Insurance for a
number of years, and in January
1984 implemented a Business,
Estate & Tax Planning Service,
which has provided for over 30
farmers, a comprehensive plan to
provide short and long range
financial savings, as well as peace
of mind.
