Philadelphia Eggs
Thursday, January 3
Report supplied by USDA
Market Comment: Prices were
unchanged. Cartoned egg orders
ranged from no better than fair to
fairly good. Regardless of orders
the supply was in excess of the
current buying interest. Large,
both graded and ungraded were at
least ample and any additional
product was very difficult to move.
Mediums were not in as heavy a
supply as large but were ample
overall. Extra large were
adequate to ample with some
buying noted, while jumbos were
no more than adequate. Undertone
weak and unsettled.
