LANCASTER Atlantic Breeders Cooperative recently recognized 11 employees for their record of service to the farmer members of the Cooperative. David Yoder of Lancaster received honors for completing 40 years of employment with Atlantic. Yoder, who will retire at the end of the year, has served as the only General Manager of the Cooperative since its development in 1964. Prior to this, Yoder stood as General Manager of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Ar tificial Breeders Cooperative. SPABC was one of the smaller coops that merged to form Atlantic. Harry Roth, who steps into the position of General Manager upon Yoder’s retirement, presented a gold certificate to Yoder. Edwin Sauder of Manheim gained honors after 30 years of service to the Cooperative’s members. Sauder works in distribution at Atlantic. Garnet Keefer of Lititz was cited for 25 years of employment. He Atlantic honors employees also received the Quarter Century Award from the National Association of Animal Breeders. Keefer currently serves as one of the bammen at the Cooperative. Vera Sterlick of Lancaster received recognition for com pleting 20 years of employment. She works in payroll and in surance. Betty Ebersole of Mount Joy was recognized for her 15 years of service to the Cooperative’s members. She works in the Marketing Division as secretary to the director. Norman Gerhart of Manheim received honors for completing 10 years of employment. Gerhart currently serves as Herd Superintendent. Robert McDowell of Atglen was presented a personalized, hand crafted fraktur for completing 35 years of employment with Atlantic. McDowell, who has at tained the impressive level of over 104,500 first-service sales, serves as Atlantic’s Unit 19 Professional Sales Technician. This unit covers a portion of southeastern Lan caster County. Glenn Martin of New Holland and Richard E. Smith of Honey Brook both received the 10,000 Cow Club Award. Martin, employed by Atlantic for four years, is the Professional Sales Technician in the eastcentral section of Lan caster County. Smith, who covers Unit 21 in the northeast section of Lancaster County, also gained honors for completing five years of employment with the Cooperative. Roderick Watson of Bally Lititz. General Manager David Yoder AGRI-SUPERMARKET received recognition for attaining the high level of 20,000 first-service sales. Watson is the Unit 7 Professional Sales Technician and covers most of Montgomery County. Patrick Arnold of Mycfrstown, Nicholas Brin of Drumore and J. Douglas Marsh of Lansdale all received honors for completing five years of employment with Atlantic. Arnold currently serves as the Unit 9 Professional Sales Technician. This unit includes the eastern half of Lebanon County and the far western tip of Berks County. Brin, the Unit 14 Professional Sales Technician, .covers southern Lancaster County. Marsh is the Direct Herd Representative in the far southeastern comer of Penn sylvania and the state of New Jersey.
