AA-Lancaster Faming, Saturday, December 22,1914 Philadelphia Eggs Thursday, December 20 Report supplied by USD A Market Comment: Prices were unchanged to lower. Cartoned egg movement continues to improve, and most dealers indicated orders were heavy for today and tomorrow’s deliveries. Floor stocks were fully adequate to ample but expected to clear. However, a problem was noted in that most dealers have sufficient stocks on hand and were not or dering any additional product. Offerings of class l’s, class 2’s and graded loose large were still available and discounting was generally needed to move products. Mediums and smalls were available but there was sufficient buying interest to keep these sizes in balance. Undertone was unsettled. Prices to retailers: sales to volume buyers, consumer grades white eggs in cartons delivered store door; A Extra Large .83-.69; A Large .62-.65; A Medium ,57-.62Vfe. Delmarva Poultry Thursday, December 20 Report supplied by USDA Market Comment: Ready to cook whole bird movement light with clearances of available of ferings still difficult.
