midweek 50-1.00 lower when
compared to last week. Declining
dressed beef prices and slackened
demand this pre-holiday session
the dampening factors for the
declines. Slaughter cows and bulls
steady.
Estimated 5 day receipts 9,000;
actuals last week 9,377 and 13,486
last year. Steers comprised 39
percent of the week’s receipts,
heifers 45 percent, cows 10 percent
and feeders 4 percent.
