complex and a strong buyer
demand led fed cattle prices
higher, with steers and heifers
registering gains of 50 cents by
week’s end. Overall finish proved
fairly attractive, particularly on
heifers, as mild weather continued
to promote excellent feeding
conditions; Cows 1.00-1.50 higher.
Bulls steady to 1.00 lower.
Estimated 5 day receipts 9500;
actuals last week 10,838 and year
ago 13,883. Steers comprised 43 pet
of the week’s receipts; heifers 40
pet., cows 11 pet and feeders 5 pet.
