Agents honor Snider
IMLER Obie Snider, of Imler,
has been named receipient of the
1984 Honorary County Agent
Milk marketing
update planned
CHAMBERSBURG - Keith
Eckel, Pa. Farmers Association
President and a member of the
National Dairy Promotion &
Research Board, will be one of the
featured speakers at an upcoming
“Milk Marketing Update” meeting
sponsored by the Franklin County
Extension Service. The meeting,
which is open to all area dairymen,
will be held at the Chambersburg
Holiday Inn on Monday. Starting
time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
with adjournment at 2; 30 p.m.
Eckel’s topic will be “A Look at
Promotion and Research at the
National Level”. Other speakers
include Gene Veno, Executive
Secretary, PA Milk Marketing
Board, and Thomas Jurchak,
Lackawanna County Extension
Director and author of the “Milk
Market News” newsletter which
appears in various farm
newspapers. Veno’s topic will be
“Why The PA Milk Marketing
Board?” and Jurchak will com

The Bedford County dairyman
received the award, a “bullskin,”
Oct. 29 at the agents association
annual meeting on The Penn
sylvania State University’s main
campus. He was honored for his
public service work in behalf of the
Cooperative Extension Service.

that Snider has been involved in
