slaughter steers .50 to 1.00 higher;
slaughter heifers mostly 1.00
higher. Most price advance early
as dressed beef prices for choice
cattle went unquoted at midweek
due to very light demand. Cows
steady to mostly 1.00 lower. Bulls
weak to 2.00 lower in limited test.
Supply mainly good and choice
steers and heifers with 25% cows.
Receipts this week about 1900 as
compared to 1469 a week ago and
1969 a year ago.
