the Merino competition, also
picked up championships in the
Columbia breed show. The Ohio
family showed the champion ram
and ewe, was named premier
exhibitor, and also took top place
in the exhibitor’s flock class.
The reserve champion Columbia
ram and ewe were also shown by a
single breeder, Chester Farms, of
Raphine, Va. The Columbia show
was judged on Sunday by Dr.
Leroy Boyd, Mississippi State
sheep researcher.
