B3o—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, November 3,1984 Montgomery Co. 4-H'ers fund-reiser for now 4-H NORRISTOWN - The Mon tgomery County 4-H clubs have launched a major fund-raising campaign to raise monies for their new 4-H Center to be located in Creamery. The former Skippack School has been purchased by the Mon tgomery County Farm, Home & 4- H Foundation. The building will be developed into a 4-H Center where youngsters from throughout the county can gather for club meetings, fairs, horse shows, recreation and other educational events. The current 4-H Center near La ns dale has served the program well for the past 15 years but a larger, more adequate and self-supportive Center will help the youth even more, said 4-H coor dinator Nancy Kadwill. Total cost of the Center project is budgeted at $950,000. Members are actively seeking financial support from friends, neighbors, in dividuals and small businesses in their communities. According to 4- H Coordinator Nancy Kadwill, support from the community is crucial to the success of the campaign. Although the money raised is important, it’s more important for the young people to know that the community supports their efforts and recognizes the positive things they are doing in 4- H. “The five dollar (or even one dollar) donation from a neighbor helps the youngster know that others believe in what he or she is accomplishing in 4-H” says Kadwill. The 4-H Club program across the nation annually attracts several million young Americans who leam skills, develop leadership ability and who grow in character and responsibility. There are 3,200 4-H members and leaders in Montgomery County and 81,000 throughout Pennsylvania. 4-H is a volunteer organization open to all boys and girls ages 8-19. The new 4-H Center will house several county-wide agricultural offices that will not only seeve the community in one convenient location but will also pay rent We Specialize In Aerial Work Using Our Twin Bucket Boom Truck ELECTRICAL \ Extends / CONTRACTING \ 55Ft f Specializing In 1 \ I AGRICULTURAL m > J WIRING / • Also Residential Industrial J And Commercial Work / Estimate^^^^/ We Have Poles In Stock 25‘ 30 35 *45 KEN CLUGSTON VERNON SEIBEL 665-6775 665-2782 CRAFT-BILT CONSTRUCTION INC.
