A4—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, Novtmbar 3,1984 Philadelphia Eggs Thursday, November 1 Report supplied by USDA MARKET COMMENT: Prices were unchanged to higher on all sizes. Overall cartoned orders to retail chains tended to be a little heavier today and ranged from fair to good although some dealers have indicated no improvement and orders are still light. Movement to distributors and other loose egg customers was slow to' fair. Most producer packers noted a fairly balanced position on large although there were pockets of surplus eggs available particularly graded loose. Mediums were ample in most quarters and difficult to move as buying interest centered on the larger sizes. Breakers have provided an alternative as many traders have balanced their stocks through these channels. Undertone steady to fully steady.
