Apple Market
Newsservice
Tuesday, October 30,1984
The market today is fair to slow.
Prices are remaining steady and
supplies are very good. We are
experiencing a rather slow market
this week, with increased activity
and competition from the West
Coast. Any influence you may have
with chain store and independent
store buyers should be exercised
immediately, encouragiong them
to stock Pennsylvania apples.
As mentioned in lak weeks
letter, the export market is im
proving, with orders now being
filled for European Countries as
well as central and South America,
notably England, Trinidad, Brazil
and Columbia.
Prices quoted are wholesale,
truckload, f.o.b. at the orchard or
packing house.
