computer in analyzing production
systems.
According to Norman E. Collins,
head of the department of
agricultural engineering, the
newly accredited program evolved
from the university’s agricultural
mechanization program of 30
years ago. In addition to improving
departmental course offerings,
calculus, physics, management
and communications courses have
been added to make the program
academically rigorous.
Graduates are employed as
plant operators, feed mill super
visors, quality control specialists
in the poultry industry, and con
struction supervisors.
