year of quarantine restrictions,
Heinsey’s Small Animal and
Poultry Auction reports that they
are back in the poultry business,
buying “anything with feathers”

MARKET COMMENT; Prices
are changed. The market tone is
weak, particularly on large and
heavier sizes. Cartoned egg
movement was light and disap
pointing. Graded stocks were fully
adequate to heavy with mediums
in a closer but adequate supply.
Additional offerings are noted as
readily available in both graded
and ungraded packs, however
most dealers found little need for
more supplies.

Market Comment; Movement of
ready to cook whole birds was
varied. Some plants noted a
slighter increase in movement and
well-balanced offerings.
Elsewhere demand continued
sluggish and maintaining
satisfactory clearances was dif
ficult. Demand for part times was
only fair overall. Slaughter
schedules are heavy. Live supplies
were fully adequate. Weights
mostly desirable to heavy. Un
dertone unsettled but no better
than steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
generally unchanged on U.S.
Grade A 49-55 cents.

Slaughter Steers for the week sold

higher with most advance Monday.
Slaughter Heifers sold 1.50 to 2.00
higher. Cows closed steady to 2.00
higher, most advance on breaking
utility and commercial. Bulls fully
steady, supply mainly 1000-1150 lb.

about 14% of supply. Receipts this
week about 1100 as compared to
1632 a week ago and 1633 a year
ago.
