It makes use of one of farming’s oldest and most familiar objects the bam. Bam walls across the two states have gone beyond their usual storage responsibilities and into the advertising business, in the form of billboards. The program was developed by the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council (ADA/DC) with the help of several of its 20,000 members. ADA/DC developed and produced billboards promoting the theme “Milk’s Got More.” In order to make them adaptable for barn display and insure a long life, they are made out of metal. The billboards are 12x20 feet in dimension, making them easily visible from 600 feet away. As the signs were being developed, ADA/DC’s staff scoured the countryside for some ideal barn locations. There were two major requirements; the bams had to be well maintained and they had to be located on a major interstate highway in a heavily populated area. In their travels, ADA/DC’s staff was able to come up with a number of bams and willing owners. By the year’s end, ten signs will be installed in New York, with an additional ten installed in Penn syvlania. The number of signs will increase as time and funding allows. Juniors Michelle Kerdeman and Ronald Groff show off their grand champion Ayrshires of the Manheim Farm Show. Michelle exhibited the reserve champion and Ronald earned the grand champion trophy. 4 Year Old Cow Zechman 1 Lowell Brubaker 2 Harold Witmer 3 Jell SPECIAL REDUCED PRICES ON LEFTOVER 84 MODELS 482 CUB CADET TRACTOR w/36” SNOW THROWER - 38” & 44” Mowers Available. engine, and built-in creeper drive that’s ideal for snow removal Plus the International reputation for reliability and long life Big 36" snow thrower will handle almost any snow situation 1 Dozens of other attachments for every season Get our red hot deal on this snow team today Special Sales Day Prices On Also A Large Selection Of • Chain Saws • Chains • Blowers • Trimmers Good Used Mowers & Lawn Tractors • Push Mower & Riding Lawn Mowers ■■ Parts And Service Always Available R.S.
