Bower said. “It has very good eye
appeal, with a medium-length
girthy ear, very good to excellent
ear retention, and very good stalk
and root strength.” A key feature
of this new hybrid, Bower added, is
its performance capability in a
wide range of environments. ”
AP-510 is an excellent-yielding
hybrid that also has very good
stalk and root strength, Bower
continued. “In addition, it has low
ear placement for improved late
season standability.”
The third com hybrid, AP-655,
has good yield potential and ex
cellent root and stalk strength,
Bowernoted. “It’s also considered
to have bery good stay-green
characteristics, which gives this

hybrid very good late-season
standability and plant health
ratings,” Bower said.
AgriPro’s three new alfalfas are
named Dart, Arrow and Excel.
Dart is an early-maturing, all
purpose variety with very high
yielding potential. It’s also
resistant to anthracnose, fusarium
wilt, Phytophthora root rot,
bacterial wilt and Verticillium
wilt.
Dart also shows excellent per
sistence. The second new AgriPro
alfalfa, Excel, has a high level of
resistance to Phytophthora root

Farm Credit Associations of
Meadville will hold their Annual
Stockholders’ Meeting at the
Saegertown High School at 7:45
P.M.
The farmer/stockholders of the
Meadville Production Credit
Association and Federal Land
Bank Association will convene to
elect directors and to conduct the
business of their cooperative.
This year’s theme is “Farm
Credit Supports Farm Youth.”
Over 120 youth have been

AgriPro’s newest soybean is
known as AP-3990. AP-3990 is a
high-yielding, early Group IV
blend that meets the needs of
soybean growers in the Williams to
Mitchell maturity.
Although NAPB has been
marketing seed varieties under
several brand names, including
Migro in corn, RP in alfalfa and
Agripro in soybeans, all new and
existing varieties will now be
consolidated under the brand
name of AgriPro.
